The game will be broadcasted nationally on FOX College Sports with David Thetford and former Lady Raider star Sheryl Swoopes on the call.
The two squads meet for the 21st time overall and 12th time in Lubbock. The series is tied at 10-10 with Tech leading it 8-3 in Lubbock.
Texas Tech (11-2, 1-0 Big 12) won its third consecutive game with a 64-59 win in Stillwater on Wednesday over No. 13/12 Oklahoma State. It was the first win over a ranked opponent on the road since winning at then-No. 14 OSU in 2010. Tech has won two straight Big 12 road games dating back to last season's regular season finale at Kansas State (64-63 on March 3, 2012).
Senior point guard Casey Morris
enters the game with 997 career points after scoring nine in Tech's win on Wednesday in Stillwater.
Tech trailed Oklahoma State 18-3 with 12:23 remaining in the first half of Wednesday night's game. The Lady Raiders then went on a 33-9 run over the next 14 minutes that expanded into the 18th minute of the second half, taking their largest lead at 36-27.
Tech hit 18 of 22 free throws (81.8%) in the win Wednesday night against Oklahoma State, including 7 of 8 in the second half. It was the second-best, free-throw shooting performance for the Lady Raiders this season. Tech hit 85% (17 of 20) in the win over Oregon State in Las Vegas on Dec. 21.
Iowa State (10-1, 1-0) has won five straight and have held eight of 10 opponents to 50 points or less this season while nine have shot below 33 percent.
The Cyclones and Lady Raiders enter Saturday's game with the Big 12 Conference's top two defensive scoring teams. Iowa State is allowing 47.8 point per game while Texas Tech is allowing 50.5 points per game.
Texas Tech held Oklahoma State to just eight field goals in the first half. It was the 13th time Texas Tech held an opponent to nine or less field goals in a half this season. OSU becomes the 12th of 13 opponents Tech has faced this season to be held to 59 points or less. OSU was held to their season-low in points, averaging 88.4 coming in.
