The Tech baseball team picked up it's third win of the year on Saturday with a 5-1 win over BYU. Tech has held it's opponents to 2 runs in the first three games, that is the best since the 1992 team which only gave up a run.
Trey Masek earned the win while striking out 8 batters in six innings, and only giving up 2 hits and five walks.
The Red Raiders only had 4 hits in the game, and were actually out hit by BYU, but used BYU mistakes to their advantage putting up 5 runs.
The Cougars top 2 hitters went 4-9 while the rest of the team went 3-22.
The Red Raiders will finish out the Brooks Wallace Classic v.s. Northern Illinois on Sunday.
Until then, Guns Up!
