Texas Tech Falls To OKST 91-67
Last night Tech was blowout again...good news is that it was a quality opponent again. The best thing about the Big 12 is that every night is competitive but in a good way. I think any Big 12 team could beat any team in the nation at any time. Now I am not saying Tech could go beat Duke but I am saying that with the training that the teams get throughout the season you would think they would be ready for any test.
Once again Tech was murdered behind the 3 point line. Markel Brown hit seven three pointers by himself and this propelled OKST to a 24 point win. Now if Tech had not given up any threes the score would have been 70-67...much close right?
Oklahoma State jumped out to a 24-6 lead and never looked back. Tech's leading scorer was Mr. Dusty Hannah's with 14 points and Josh Gray had 9.
This young Tech team has a lot of building to do but everything looks up from here. Over the offseason if Tech can catch a few good recruits and keep balance, and even play the pace of game they are playing this year I can see maybe an NIT or NCAA tournament appearance out of this team next season.
On Saturday Tech will then head to West Virginia to then play a very winnable game, after that they will return home against a VERY tough Oklahoma team.
