LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech goes for its eighth consecutive win as it faces off against Michigan State and Oregon State in the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic.
Texas Tech heads to the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic on a seven-game winning streak - its longest since beginning the 2011-12 season 14-0.
The Lady Raiders will take on the Spartans for the first time since 1988 and play the Beavers for the first time since 2002. The Lady Raiders lead the series against Michigan State, 1-0, and against Oregon State, 3-1.
Texas Tech is fifth nationally and leads the Big 12 Conference in turnover margin (+9.4). The Lady Raiders have turned the ball over on an average of 14 per game this season, which also leads the conference and is 14th nationally.
Texas Tech has held each of its last seven opponents to 56 points or less per game this season, with a +25.6 average margin of victory. The Lady Raiders are ranked 17th nationally with a +20.8 average margin of victory.
Michigan State comes into this week's games with the nation's top defensive scoring team. The Spartans are giving up an average of only 42.7 points per game this season.
Oregon State comes into this week's games with one of the best rebounding units. The Beavers are averaging 46.9 rebounds per game - 11th nationally.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Casey Morris, SR., GUARD
Morris continues to be the senior leader in points nearly every game this season. She led the team in points five times this season while also becoming a more complete player defensively. Morris had a season-high seven steals Nov. 24 vs Nicholls while scoring a season-high 19 points. She leads the team in threes with 21, including five against Northern Colorado on Sunday.
