This weekend Texas Tech will be in action all over the country. This is one of the busiest athletic weekend of the year thus far and now it is time to separate it out so you can watch and follow along with all of the events this weekend.
Below I will put a sport preview of what is going on this weekend.
Women's Tennis- This weekend the defending Big 12 champs will have some very tough battles that will be an early indication on how this season will play out and if the Lady Raiders can defeat as champs. Tomorrow the team will face an easier opponent in #60 Auburn but then play #9 Alabama. This match will be a huge defining factor early this season.
Men's Tennis- Tech's men's tennis team is off to a fairly strong start this year. They have lost some tough matchups against some tough teams but look to bounce back this weekend v.s. LSU and Tulane.
Men's Golf- The Texas Tech men's golf team will head to Palm Spring's California coming off a third place finish in their last meet.
Women's Golf- Coming off a third place finish in Puerto Rico the very talented Tech women's golf team will look to get back on track in Peoria Arizona.
Track- The Men's and Women's track teams have had one of the best year's in school history. The men's track team now ranked fourth in the country is looking for a Big 12 Championship and the women's are also looking for a Big 12 Championship.
Baseball- The Texas Tech baseball team started strong last weekend with whipping's of Northern Colorado, BYU, and NIU twice. This weekend Tech will be at the Wawa Classic in Orlando, Florida. They will play Troy, UCF, and UCONN.
Softball- Tech softball is not 7-3 and looking to get to an important 10 win mark. They will face Texas State, North Texas, UT Arlington, Sam Houston State, and Bracket Final Team if Tech advances to the final.
Women's Basketball- Tech Tech women's basketball is looking to get into the tournament this season with their 20th win v.s. Kansas. This game will be televised on Fox Sports at noon central time.
This will be a very exciting weekend and will determine a lot in this year's spring and winter athletic teams.
